A TRIBUTE TO FONTANESI
February 15 – June 16, 2013
Curated by Giuseppe Luigi Marini
In collaboration with Arte Futura of Giuliana Godio
The Accorsi-Ometto Museum dedicates an exhibition to ANTONIO FONTANESI (Reggio Emilia, 1818 – Turin 1882), an Emilian artist who played an important role in the development of Piedmontese landscape in the late 19th century.
Through thirty carefully selected works the exhibition itinerary documents, on the one hand, the complete creative career of the artist and, on the other, it proposes to detail his stylistic evolution, paying attention not only to the oils, but also to watercolors, drawings, fusains, lithographs and etchings.
